QE2 and the brand new QV are beginning their tandem crossing to New York together as I type. QV pulled alongside QE2 and shon a spotlight along her side.
I got a call from someone on board the new QV he said 'QV is very nice, but QE2 is absolutely beautiful'. QE2 has every single cabin light ablaze.
This also marks the start of QE2's last ever (26th) Complete world cruise - 106 nights of luxury.
Due to her amazing speed, QE2 can make it to New York in under 4 days however this time its going to take her a full week, because thats as fast as her new sister ship QV can go...
