The well know writer and marine historian writes email news letters, here is an extract that someone posted with news on the QV and importantly the QE2 that is based on stories on his current trip on the Qm2:

The delivery date is now set for January 2008, but some insiders say that it might not be until 2009 or even later. Meanwhile, rumors continue that the 36-year-old Queen Elizabeth 2 will leave service by December 2007 and that a museum-hotel complex in Japan might be her fate. Commodore Ron Warwick wants to head a campaign to save the beloved 963-foot long Cunarder."
